Turning from the boots to face the park’s entrance, I was met with three of the most recognizable figures in Communism – Friedrich Engels and Karl Marx on the right, Lenin on the left. Quite a unique welcome party, indeed. But then, Memento Park is a unique place.

Lake Ohrid, Macedonia is perfect. The region is a great spot for sightseeing, or just relaxing. Any visitor to the Balkans should find a way to visit for a few days because there are so many great things to do in Lake Ohrid.

It was already 8pm when we assembled at the massive marble building known as Vittorio Emanuele Monument. It was the meeting point for our tour of some of the most famous remains of ancient Rome, and we were beyond excited.

For our second visit to Budapest, we got to dig a little deeper on a progressive dinner walk. After all, why have dinner at one place when you can have it at five?

Any time we travel, paying a visit to local food markets is always on the top of our list. And in a food-focused region like Emilia-Romagna, indulging in the Bologna markets was necessary.
