Instead of heading to someone’s house, we take those precious days off work at the holidays to travel together. And recently, that has meant holiday cruises.

If you’ve read Travel Addicts for any length of time, you know that our trips have sometimes been plagued by misadventures. You can never predict when Murphy’s Law will strike.

Don’t get me wrong – we like animals, including birds. Sometimes. But to be a true, diehard birder you have to be willing to go to extremes. Or be very patient. And we are neither.

Motion sickness is a concern for me every time we travel. Just about every mode of transportation is a challenge for my stomach. I’m pretty focused on how to avoid motion sickness at any cost.
