Orlando is a top destination for family travelers with its numerous theme parks. However, it is more than just the big mouse and there is a lot in Orlando for adults.

From the moment we stepped through the gates at Keukenhof gardens, it was clear we were in a happy place.

In the 1960s, Lyndon B. Johnson spent nearly one-quarter of his presidency at the Texas White House in Stonewall, Texas. Now, the house and the surrounding area have been turned into national and state parks — a combination of a working farm and group of historical sites.

Apparently we have been living under a rock. I have no other explanation for why we were unaware of the charm, culture, fun, and deliciousness in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

These towns are intriguingly Texan and German at the same time.

Haarlem is a dream. It has grand architecture, outdoor cafes, canals, and great museums all without the crowds of some of the larger cities in the Netherlands.

Luxembourg is a small country dotted with enchanting towns that seem straight from a story book. Across the landscape, riverside cafes mix with magnificent castles, historic buildings, and ruins to create a unique patchwork.
